Work with Fund for the Public Interest

At the Fund, you get paid to change the world. You could help stop plastic pollution, protect wildlife, conserve wild places, prevent toxic contamination and elminate electronic waste. Our jobs connect people to the causes they care about through face-to-face conversations.

Canvasser: Make change happen, one conversation at a time.

As a canvasser, you’ll go out into communities, knock on doors and talk to people about important issues. You’ll raise awareness, build membership and raise money for the organizations we work with. Canvassing positions are available across the country.

Field manager: Lead campaign teams and make a direct impact.

In addition to canvassing every day, field managers work closely with the canvass director to meet the goals of the office and build even more skills.

Field managers oversee a team of staff and are responsible for recruiting, training and motivating their team to hit its goals. They also map out canvassing territories, keep financial records and help carry out other campaign work such as working with the media, coalition building and petitioning.

Canvass director: Run a campaign office.

As a canvass director with the Fund, you'll run a campaign office in one of dozens of cities across the country. You'll give leading groups the people power they need to win campaigns and make positive change.

Summer jobs that matter: Gain new skills while making a difference.

Want a summer job that can make a real difference on issues that matter? Then this is the job for you. We’re hiring canvassers and field managers for our summer membership drive. Help educate the public on important issues, give them the opportunity to take action and build the people power it takes to get real results.
